Karla Tofte started off life with three strikes against her, since she couldn’t swing the bat very well as a baby.  She has nonetheless grown into a fine and confident woman who splits her time between a casino on Aurora Avenue and a bowling alley in Ballard.

She completed her B.A. in English from the University of Washington in 2005 after a 13-year detour in L.A., where she worked as a writers’ assistant on several game shows and such sitcoms as “Malcolm and Eddie” and “3rd Rock from the Sun.”  She also wrote humor essays for the Los Angeles Times.

She would do best in a two-parent home with clear structure and strong role models.
